US/Canada Fulfillment Update #2

Hey there Bushido backers,

A very quick update for US/Canada backers of the game.

US Fulfillment Update

As of today, we will just barely finish sending out all US orders of the game (and set a new FedEx single day package record for ourselves). These were sent via FedEx SmartPost.

I'm working on getting tracking info uploaded and shared via BackerKit. Last time I did that, there was an odd sorting issue that mismatched names and tracking info. I'll try it again, but if you see your order going to the wrong state, just shoot us a message and we'll get you the proper tracking.

A reminder that if you don't see a small bag with five red dice packed outside of the box for each copy of the base game you ordered, please reach out to us at [email protected] so we can get you what you're missing.

Canadian Fulfillment Update

We won't quite be able to get these orders packed and sent out before the holiday break hits. We anticipate these shipping out starting 12/26.

These will be shipped out via FedEx International Mail Service. Tracking, when it's provided tends to be unreliable through that particular service and delivery should be 2-5 weeks from when the game is shipped. The customs is being set up to bill to us, so you should not be paying to receive the package, however if that proves untrue all you have to do is email us at [email protected] and we'll arrange for reimbursement.

The same information regarding the extra dice is pertinent here too.

US/Canada Fulfillment Update #1

Hey there Bushido backers,

Just a quick update for US/Canada backers.

US/Canada Progress Report

The picture above is one small sliver of the orders we got out the door. FedEx just came by to make their pickup for the day and the tally for day one is 108 packages out of 330 made it out the door. We're continuing to pack more orders, which will go out with whatever we can get done tomorrow. Our goal is to have all of them out the door by Friday.

To give you a behind-the-scenes look, we ordered the list to get the most we possibly can out as quickly as we can. That's led to this list

1) All US orders are going out ahead of Canadian orders. This is because arranging US shipping and getting the labels printed is a lot faster.

2) We're shipping small to large. The vast majority of orders (>200) are 1x Base Game + 1x Expansion. We also had 27 orders with just the base game. Those orders are the ones that have headed out right now.

3) Orders with add-ons are going last because this small handful of packages is the most complicated to pack.

All of the US orders are being sent FedEx SmartPost, which can take anywhere from a couple of days to a couple of weeks. The Canadian ones are being sent via FedEx International Mail Service, which tends to be two to five weeks... although it's possible the postal strike may have gummed that system up somewhat.

Tracking

Because these have all been sent from our warehouse via ShipStation, I don't think anyone's been sent tracking info as that typically only happens automatically with direct web orders. We're working on compiling a list so we can get the folks their proper tracking info (this backfired a bit during our last fulfillment). In the meantime, hang tight while we scramble to get as many of these out the door as possible.

Bushido's Glorious Arrival Update

Hey there Bushido backers!

It's been an eventful past couple of days for this game. We have a recap and some updates on all of that below.

Bushido's Arrival

We received a big shipment into St. Louis, including, for the first time, long-awaited copies of Bushido.

Given the office anticipation, we couldn't wait to crack open a copy or two to see this game in its fully realized form.

The cards looked great.... the player boards were nice... the tokens came out beautifully and slot well into the board. But then we noticed something....

The Dice Problem

 The face distributions were all right, but there's a major problem.

In order to play the game, there are supposed to be:

• 10 x Red Attack Dice
• 5x Blue Evade Dice
• 5x Grey Defense Dice

However, in several copies we opened we found that, consistently, there were:

• 10x Blue Evade Dice
• 5x Red Attack Dice
• 5x Grey Defense Dice

That's not good at all...

The manufacturer has already agreed to print additional red dice to send us to make up for their massive mistake. We anticipate having them in hand in early January.

The Dice Solution

But that answer is not acceptable to us, especially given how long you have already had to wait to get this game in your hands. So, where it's possible, we've taken action to eliminate that delay altogether.

Yesterday afternoon, we gathered as many folks as we could to open 400+ other copies of Bushido and pull out the 5 red dice needed to make 400+ other copies complete, playable games.

Getting that done allows us to start sending out games to Kickstarter backers in the US and Canada today. For every copy of Bushido ordered we are bundling those extra set of 5 red dice outside of the box. You will still have 5 extra blue dice, but better too many than too few. Just set those aside from the rest and you should be good to go.

European Backers

The manufacturer should have sent the additional dice to our fulfillment partner by the time they're sending out games. You should expect to see the 5 additional red dice bundled once that game goes out the door.

Australian/Asian Backers

These copies are already at their respective fulfillment companies, or will be soon, Because of the dice issue, we need to hold off on sending those out until they have the necessary dice. We apologize for the additional delay, but it's a mistake we want to make sure is handled before those games go out.

Address Lockdown Imminent

With the expected arrival of Bushido to our warehouse next week, the time has come to lock down addresses.

We'll be sending out an alert through BackerKit, but if your address has changed since you provided it there, please let us know either through a message on Kickstarter or an email to [email protected] with the subject "Bushido Address Change".

These will lock down over the weekend.

December Fulfillment Update

Hey there Bushido backers,

A quick update for you on the various regions for fulfillment and where those orders are.

US/Canadian Fulfillment

We just received an update today from R&L Carriers, who is handling the shipping here in the US. The games are currently on a train, due to arrive in the railyard in St. Louis on Sunday, December 16. Generally we receive those containers a day or two later than when they hit the railyard, putting us at a likely in-our-hands date of December 18th.

This is obviously very tight to Christmas and while some backers may receive their copies ahead of that, the vast majority likely will not.

It is likely that Canadian orders will go through Snakes & Lattes, though it's unclear how the postal strike will affect delivery times.

European Fulfillment

The games are on a boat heading to Fulfillment Europe in Germany. The estimated arrival date we have for those games at this stage is January 10th at the port. In our experience, it takes around a week or a little more than that for the games to get from the port to Fulfillment Europe.

Australian/NZ Fulfillment

These games are heading to VR Distribution in Australia. They've arrived in the country and the forwarder is currently hashing out a couple of final details with customs before they make their way to our fulfillment company.

Asian Fulfillment

Most countries in Asia will be handled by VFI Asia. They already have the games but are experiencing a bit of a backlog. When we have a better ship time, we will pass that information along.

Other Regions

These are most likely to be sent out directly from our warehouse here in St. Louis. We will provide individual tracking numbers as we have them.
